I have been studying yoga with Heather and receiving yoga therapy from her twice a week for nearly a year. It has been the most inspirational experience ever! She has shared so much of herself with me that words cannot express the gratefulness I feel... Her understanding of life and yoga and how to apply that which she knows is just incredible. I feel so very supported by her. From gentle yoga postures to meditation and breathing techniques, her skills are unsurpassed. I have studied yoga for many years and had lots of therapy, as well, and Heather is the best! She always knows just what to say to make me feel understood and knows how to guide me through emotional, and spiritual difficulties as well as physical challenges. What a wonderful Gift!

I have been a yoga student of Heather's for going on 6 years now. Her soothing voice, gentle nature and healing methods all provide for a peaceful and relaxing practice. As a former student of Bikram and having attended yoga classes at the gym, I entered Heather's classes with a much different expectation than what I actually experienced (in a positive way). Heather's genuine concern and efforts to get to know each of her students
shines through. Through a familiarity with her students, she is able to and has a gift for knowing exactly what they need both on a physical and emotional level. My experience time and again, is wondering "how did she know I needed to work that area of the body or work that issue out through breath and pose?" Sharing yoga practice with Heather has been a staple in my life over the recent years, one that has helped me through some extremely difficult times. I am physically and emotionally healthier, stronger and able to maintain a level of positivity I can take with me every day.

After practicing yoga for a few years, it was time to expand my practice to 3 times a week. This was when I discovered Om Sweet Om Yoga. Looking back there has been a lot of growth in my abilities, both in strength and flexibility. I have also gained from the breathing and relaxation that Heather includes in her classes.
My left foot was broken in an accident and screws were implanted. With Heather's attention, my foot is doing well. Thank you Heather.

I started having private sessions with Heather 15 months ago. I could not sit cross legged on the floor or get up off the floor without help from the wall & Heather for balance and support. To say that my abs were weak is an understatement. I had undergone 3 abdominal surgeries in a 14 month period. I have a 9x12 in. pice of surgical mesh holding my abdominal wall together. It's uncomfortable and pokes me. I am 66 years old & overweight. I had never done yoga before but had always been drawn to it because of its meditatvie aspect. I had no idea how strengthening it could be. My belly is still distended, but not as much as it was 15 months ago. Heather is very skilled & careful with me. She is aware of the pain on my face when a position is too much and finds another way. She honors my physical limitations and my fear. Heather is helping me heal my body & my heart. She sees my spirit and that reminds me to see it too.

Breathe...something that is inate in us, right? No so. Heather has taught me the importance of breathing; to relax, to direct my breath to certain parts of my body, to heal.
Yoga classes are not new to me. I've tried them several times and ended up quitting becuase I was just another person in the "herd". I felt so awkward, always standing in the back row where I could hide. Yoga with Heather is one of the best things I've done for myself. She gently encourages me to move just a bit more, to not be discouraged, to want to learn more, be more, and yes, she reminds me to breathe.

A yoga novice, I was initially apprehensive to pursue classes. My agility and coordination left much to be desired. A friend recommended Heather; from the very first session, I was inspired by her knowledge an style. Heather is an exceptional individual who lives the art and clearly imports a sense of calm, warmth and healing to each session. She has an uncanny ability to assess individual needs and smartly tailor to maximize benefit. The yoga experience has given me much more flexibility of body and peace of mind. It is the best decision I have made in a long time for my well being.
